Whilst Autos in Oils, was originally set up as the platform for the artist's automotive art, many different galleries have been added since that auspicious day! Working from his studios in Thailand, English artist, Chris Lock, is able to create beautiful paintings of animals, landscapes, sea scenes, portraits and old fashioned photo-like Sepia paintings. Paintings are created with just hand and eye and no digital or airbrushing enhancements are ever used. With his fine attention to detail, perfect proportion and perspective, the artist creates images that you just want to reach out and touch. The artist works only in oils, preferring this medium over all others, as it gives him the flexibility and texture he seeks in his works. Paintings are created on canvas, wood or board. He paints in a Classic realism style making creative use of vibrant and striking colours.
